Divorcee was formed in the Summer of 2000
and the band immediately went into the studio to record
their first album, "Lovesick". Song writer, Ryan Seitz (formerly
of Velma), called upon Chris Pavlich (former guitar tech
for Semisonic, and guitarist for The Spring Collection),
and Sean Hoffman (formerly of American Paint). Recording
began in fall of 2000 at Seedy Underbelly in Minneapolis,
and was completed at Semisonic's recording studio. Mixing
was completed in the spring of 2001 at The Terrarium in
Minneapolis.

Lovesick
- 2001
We
were absolutely blown away when we
first heard "Lovesick". Someone is
going to sign Divorcee and they are
going to be glad they did. "Lovesick"
is a beautiful, melodic mix of Brit
and power pop. After one listen, you'll
have several of the songs in your
head for hours. Check them out especially
if you like Travis or Oasis.
