PRINCE

Prince has a reputation for being one of the best live performers around, but until now only those who've attend his concerts would ever know that because he's never released a live album. But Prince finally releases his first live album, coming off one of his best concert tours in recent years, and it is an amazing performance. Combining rock, funk, jazz and beautiful ballads, Prince is at his forte here. With a band that consists of an amazing drummer, John Blackwell, a top-notch Latin jazz keyboardist, Renato Neto, superb bassist Rhonda Smith, saxophonist Maceo Parker and Candy Dulpher, and a fantastic horn section, the music rocks!

Best of all, Prince is outstanding on guitar. He should definitely be recognized after this as one of the greatest guitar players. Then, just to show you how versatile he is, in the middle of disc 2, it's Prince alone at the piano -- beautiful and amazing. He truly is one of the greatest musicians of our time, and it shows here.

The sound quality is great, and even though the songs come from different concerts in different cities, it is mixed seamlessly together to sound as though you're in the front row of your very own personal concert. Also included is an after party CD, where Prince funks it up even more.

I highly recommend this box set. If you've never heard Prince live, this is your chance. If you enjoy great music, pick this up. You won't be disapointed.
